Did you catch our incredible end of year announcement? The Shinsei Galverse anime is officially in production!
We’ve partnered with ARCH Inc. to bring the Shinsei Galverse anime to life! ARCH is an anime production and planning company based in Tokyo, led by veteran anime industry professionals.
It’s been months of work to meet studios and production houses, find the right partner who understood the goals of WAGMAA, and finally to design and sign an agreement that secures the future of the Shinsei Galverse IP!
We have a lot of exciting announcements still to come - including the exact studio that will be animating Galverse and key staff like writers, director, and character designer who will be working with Team Galverse and the community to bring this wild dream to life!
Our team has already been at work, first behind-the-scenes, and now in the open with the help of our community, to kick off the production process. More on WAGMAA and what it means below!

We ended the year with a short holiday hiatus, and came back with a total reboot of our Discord and community structure!
Say hello to WAGAMI LABs! Our cosmic anime studio that you’re all a part of, as of right now!
We kicked open the doors to the New Year with an amazing role-playing interview process! It was a great chance to test the new structure of the Galverse Discord community, and also to learn about our talented interns (uh, Gal Holders, that is)!
After running these awesome interviews for a week, we decided WAGAMI LABS was ready for everybody, and hit the big green button on our access card printer! Every verified Gal Holder instantly turned into a WAGAMI LABS intern!
Interns get access to everything cool and new in the WAGAMI LABS Discord, including:

The #studio-floor, where amazing WAGMAA assignments and meetings happen!

WAGMAA Assignments are live!
The launch of WAGAMI LABS and the kickoff of the Galverse anime also means the start of WAGMAA!
We’ve said from the beginning - WAGMAA will be a way for Gal Holders to meaningfully contribute to the production of the anime - including everything from creative to commercial discussions. It’s a radically new way of making anime!
We’ve already launched the first four assignments + a staff meeting to get the year started!
Assignment 1, 2 and 3 were character outfit design tasks! While we like to keep things fresh, one of the first jobs on an anime production schedule is character and outfit design, so we had to get these moving quickly!
Assignment 4 was a music research task given by Director Ayaka! She wanted the community’s help
We also held a Staff Meeting following a discussion with the team at ARCH. We wanted to get WAGAMI Interns’ opinions on what direction we should head in when it comes to distributing the anime!
Assignments contribute to the production of the anime, whether it’s creative tasks or contributing to a business deck or advertising plan!
Staff Meetings are our way to run important topics of discussion past the community and get a pulse check whenever we need some critical input!
Cosmic ID Cards!
It wouldn’t be a cosmic anime studio without cosmic ID cards! These are our first foray into the realm of digital status and reputation in the world of Web3!
So what makes up a Cosmic ID Card, really? It’s an amazing device that tracks your participation in WAGMAA, checks your wallet for NFTs on the blockchain, and also looks at achievements within the community.
Stickers could appear if you hold certain NFTs from cool projects we love!
You might get special stickers for secret contributions to the community and culture of Galverse.
Stamps will appear if you take part in WAGMAA assignments and contribute to the anime!
Something nice might happen if you collect all the stamps…
While that’s the awesome beginning to the ID card, we have so much more planned. New features, stickers, and stamps roll out every week.
This incredible invention can easily be summoned, anytime, with the help of the WAGAMI AI using simple Discord commands!
Cosmic Burn! Open Edition!
We’re not immune to trends here at WAGAMI LABS! Actually, we love ‘em.
Our degen department was getting to ready to drop some awesome collabo artwork and NFTs when we stumbled onto the Open Edition craze taking over Web3.
After a quick round of prototyping and planning, we decided to go ahead with the Cosmic Burn!
Chamakou won the Galverse Art Matsuri last year with their amazing artwork, GALS’ ADVENTURE. It captured the hearts of our community and we wanted to get it into the hands of as many people as possible. Check out their artistic process in the video above!
We opened a free claim to Gal Holders, and later a paid mint to anyone, to mint an edition of Chamakou’s amazing artwork.
In a few days, over 1,200 people minted Chamakou’s edition.
Then, we rolled out… the Cosmic Burn! Three events in a row where holders of GALS’ ADVENTURE could redeem their tokens for episodes in the Shinsei Galverse: Origin Story mini-doco!
On top of being able to hold some incredible art by Chamakou, and a piece of Galverse history with the Origin Story videos, dedicated collectors have been rewarded with an airdrop of a super exclusive Chamakou artwork + a bunch of special gifts for Discord and beyond!
That was fun! Let’s do it again sometime.
Gals & Dragons!
We’ve long been fans of the team over at Heroic Story, and this week they made us bigger fans again!
A select handful of WAGAMI Interns were invited to take part in a test round of Heroic Story’s Dungeons & Dragons game with a special quest and lore designed especially for Galverse!
Two adventurous groups of Gals set out on a quest fraught with danger, magic, intrigue, traps, and noisy chickens.
The first group made it through the dungeon with (most) of their lives intact! Congratulations to coco, xarechel, Astral and Miss Purple for that incredible effort.
The second group were turned into cosmic dust when they didn’t make it out in time… good try, Gals!

Origin Story!
All three episodes of the Shinsei Galverse: Origin Story mini-doco are now live! These were filmed the first time the team all got together in Tokyo, mid-2022.
Episode 1 shares how the team met and where the concept of Shinsei Galverse came from!
Episode 2 is a deep dive into how we’re challenging the world of Web3 and anime at the same time!
Finally, Episode 3 sits down with Ayaka to learn all about her creative inspirations for the characters, world, and art of Shinsei Galverse, and her own hopes for the IP.
This was taken at a special time for the project, when we were shifting from launch mode to delivering on everything we hoped Galverse could become! Looking back, our plans haven’t got any smaller or less ambitious!
YouTube is cool, but you can even watch each episode on their native NFT as well!
VTuber Factory is open!
Sally Danger from Voltaku achieved a momentous feat and finished rigging all 2,200+ Gal Traits in the collection for VTubers!
That means we can officially enter mass-production mode!
The Cosmic Vending Machine was stocked with over 100 upgrades, and we’re working through delivering loads of VTubers every week! Sally has trained up a team, and our deliveries are getting faster every week!
Gals in Tokyo!
2023 is jam packed with Tokyo events for Galverse! We can’t lift the curtain on everything just yet, but February and March are busy already!
The first event is a special exhibition called ‘Gal Pals! #1’ curated by community superstar Benoit!
It will run from early - late March and feature awesome displays of Gal NFTs, special art, live VTubing setups and much more!

It’s taken a while, but Devin and Emi’s incredible talks from NFT In Europe last year are finally live online!
Devin took a deep-dive into the creative and technical process behind creating Galverse with our global team! It’s probably the most in-depth look at the genesis of Galverse yet!
Emi told her story back to the very beginning of getting into NFTs! It’s a grand tale, starting with early music videos and Zombie Zoo Keeper, and of course to the launch of Shinsei Galverse and beyond!
Tajigen Collabo
We’re excited to announce another collaboration with our friends at Citizens of Tajigen!
They launched their collection with a Galverse trait in the artwork (Armored Mecha Ribbons!), and now they’re rolling out customizable NFT backgrounds featuring special Galverse art!
Their first collaboration featured Tyler Foust, the artist behind Reddit’s NFTs (Ahem - digital collectibles). Galverse is proud to be the first project collaboration.
Tajigen NFT Holders will be able to claim the Cosmic Depths background shown below!
Those holding both a Tajigen NFT + Galverse NFT will receive access to a more exclusive Galverse background too!
We love exploring interoperability of all different sorts with other projects, and think Tajigen’s collaborative model is really cool!
Gals in the Verse! Community favorites!
The Galverse community has been as busy as ever lately - helping on WAGMAA assignments, making our community an awesome place - and of course, getting out into the world and making cool stuff! Here’s some of our highlights this month!
Geek Girl Pyon won the community favorite prize of the Galverse Art Matsuri last year, and her special prize finally arrived! Gal SekureD made her a pair of custom AF1s featuring her Gal. The moment when she stops to admire them - kawaii!
Jarvis has been sharing his amazing work, training Stable Diffusion models on both individual Gals, and the Galverse collection as a whole. Some super interesting results!
Gals online, Gals IRL. It’s always cool to see a couple of VTuber superstars hang out!
Risa made this awesome VTuber-fied ID card! So cool… is that a feature request for the ID Card department?!
Myelo is not only one of our community team superstars, but an AI art genius! It’s incredible seeing their weekly explorations of their Galverse PFP in new and exciting forms.

Asami has been hard at working contributing to the WAGMAA activities! Even if you’re not an artist, there’s plenty of ways to contribute - AI generations, moodboards, text, or whatever you feel comfortable with!
Asami also helped us with the interview process for WAGAMI Interns, and even kicked off the trend of the Gal adorned with suit and tie! She means business!
