Our newsletter provider, Revue, has announced they're closing down at the end of this year. We'll be shifting our newsletter to Substack in the New Year!
If you're a subscriber - don't worry! We'll transfer all our settings, content and subscribers over. Our next update will look a little different, but it'll be the same great content. Keep an eye out for Galverse #9 from Substack!
Town Hall - Holiday Special!
Wait up - doesn't this Newsletter usually drop after our monthly Town Hall?
Yep - but this time, we're planning a ☆Galverse Holiday Special☆ Town Hall, full of big alpha announcements and celebrations!
We'll cover all the combined happenings of November + December and give a sneak peek of what's coming next year, before going offline for a little while over the holiday break.
This Spaces will go live at least a few days before Christmas - stay tuned to our Twitter and Discord for the exact timing. There'll be big news and lots of giveaways, so make sure to show up!

Did you catch the Shinsei Galverse: Origin Story teaser video on Twitter? We'll be dropping part one of a mini doco-series this week!
You'll meet the team, hear about how the project got started, and deep dive into the creative inspirations behind the world of Galverse. We'll also give you some insight into the future of Galverse.
This was a heap of fun to make! It's just a taste of one way we'll show Gal Holders behind-the-scenes during WAGMAA in the near future.
Once Episode 1 goes live, we'd really appreciate your help in spreading the word. A retweet on twitter, a share in your community, or just passing it onto a friend goes a long way!
End of Year Plans!
New year, new Galverse! The team will be taking a break to touch grass over the holiday season, and we encourage our community to do so as well.
We'll temporarily be slimming down the Discord to a few major channels after our Holiday Special Town Hall. It's been a busy year, and we are looking forward to a little time offline with our friends and families!
There'll be English and Japanese chats for everyone to wish each other Happy Holidays and keep in touch over the break, and room for special announcements and info.
When we come back, you can expect some cool stuff, including:
A revamped, cleaned up Discord experience
Fun community activities, including WAGMAA action and community organised events
Streamlined support and ticketing systems
More info and guides on the way, including updated VTuber instructions, security guides and other helpful stuff!
All of this will be laid out in detail via announcements in the Discord, as well as on our end of year Twitter Spaces.
Of course, we wouldn't let people walk away without a holiday gift.

VTubers
VTuber production continues at a fast pace! We've just completed our fifth release via the Vending Machine. All five have been smash hits, selling out nearly instantly!
After some constructive feedback from the community, we did a double drop this week, putting 20 in the machine at once, allowing everyone to have a go at minting without wasting any gas.
By the end of the year, around 100 Gals will have been VTuber-fied, and the majority of traits in the collection will be fully rigged, ready for fast assembly.
The Galverse team will be undergoing rigorous training from Sally Danger in the New Year, allowing us to increase the number of VTubers available each week so we can speed through the collection and get VTubers into everyone's hands as fast as possible.
In the meantime, Sally continues to share her work live in the Discord, and by sharing charming videos on her Twitter like the one above.
Our GalTubers are also getting more serious in their setups! Community superstar Risa has been streaming her amazing work in Web3 on Twitch.
Amazing Gal Asami has put together an Apex Legends squad! They are streaming games and sharing clips on TikTok.
Remember, each Gal to upgrade to a VTuber receives a custom Purikura! We put a lot of love into each of these.

He'll put together a beautiful phone wallpaper featuring an extended background - art by Ayaka!
As we continue to extend more Gal traits for VTubers, you might even see some extra details that the original Gal PFP didn't capture beyond the square frame. See Asami's hair bow above?
Sweep the Floor with Gal Kumade!
We've partnered with Tokyo-based digital art collective XYZA for something cool!
Kumade are good luck charms in the shape of a rake that symbolize stirring up luck or money.
They're a popular gift for friends, family, and colleagues - especially when someone is starting a new business or endeavor! Traditionally, they are only available for purchase around the Toro-no-Ichi festival.
Kumade evolved during the Edo period, from simple wishes for prosperity and safety, to more complex designs representing people's evolving wishes for great food, longevity, money and more.
XYZA approached us with the idea of "Shouldn't kumade be updated to match the more diverse lifestyles of modern society?"
Ayaka has illustrated a number of Gals for this project. The Kumade will be a customizable 3D NFT, featuring decorations designed by several Japanese artists. Before minting, you can choose which Gals you'd like placed on your kumade!
They'll soon be creating real physical Kumade based on the digital designs too.

Gal Collabos!
We released the Deadfellaz x Galverse crossover art as a free mint in the vending machine this month! It was a hit - over 600 Gal holders minted their Deadgal.
We'll be taking a snapshot of Gal Holders for a special holiday free mint soon. Keep an eye out for that one!
Amazing Japanese rapper OZworld released his latest music video recently, and it was full of Gals!

Shinsei Galverse is a launch partner for Uniswap's new NFT marketplace and aggregator!
We'll be jumping on a Twitter Spaces with the Uniswap team after they get back from Art Basel to talk all things Galverse and Uniswap NFTs.
Uniswap is the most used dApp on Ethereum, and facilitates tens of billions of volume on token trades every month! We hope they'll bring that cosmic energy to NFTs as well.
Primetime Gals!
November was a media whirlwind for Galverse!
Gemini Laboratory posted up the English version of their interview with Ayaka and Emi - it's an awesome deep dive into the creation of Galverse, future of digital fashion, and everything inbetween.
DIME Japan interviewed Ayaka and Emi about their expectations from Web3, as well as some of the challenges the industry faces.
Ayaka was also featured in Hypebeast Japan about her creative work and the content she creates.
Galverse was also featured in the book "The New Creator Economy" by Massage Magazine.
We asked the community to submit their Gals to appear on the Galverse page, and nine of them made it in. The book covers a lot of great artists from all over the world, and is available in stores and online in Japan now.
Congratulations to Emi for also being featured in forbes this month, with a spot on the distinguished list!
Gals IRL!
November was jam-packed with events and Gal meetups around the globe. We can't wait to meet more Gals IRL in 2023!
Ayaka travelled to Los Angeles for ComplexCon, diving into the future of fashion, digital life, streetwear and culture. She took the time to meet up with some amazing Gals, including our VTuber superstar Sally Danger!

Ayaka also took to the stage at MELTDOWN TOKYO, a collaborative Web3 event at Omotesando Museum in Tokyo!
As well as being a great place for Gal Holders to meet up IRL, Ayaka also displayed 20 Holder submitted Gals on the Galverse booth too!
We love these Galverse stickers that Gal Holders are trading at IRL events too. Wouldn't it be cool if you had the tools to create your own Galverse stuff? Something we're thinking about for next year too.

What started out as a simple request to add chibi-Ayaka as a server sticker has turned into a never-ending Ayaka Rally.
Jarvis even made an Ayaka flag IRL! And then they started multiplying! It seems like an unstoppable movement now.
