FWB x Galverse Celebrate Gal-loween!
Ready to party? We’ve teamed up with FWB DAO to throw a badass halloween costume party in the middle of Shin Okubo, Tokyo!
Expect a night of spooky, galactic vibes. Galverse + anime costumes or accessories are highly encouraged. The team already has their outfits ready!
Special thanks to community superstar Montako for designing the poster with AI - and Ayaka for Galversing it up with her signature eye styles!
Galverse NFT or FWB token holders can RSVP via the official gatekeeper page - but be quick as there’s limited spots!
Friends With Benefits is an internet culture + art DAO where some of the team first met. It’s part of the origin story of Shinsei Galverse, so we’re excited to celebrate together!
Did we say there’d be event exclusive Gal-loween themed merch? 🤘
Galverse Enters Inktober… Galtober!
This year we’ll be celebrating Inktober! As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, it's time to break out those inky pens, sketchpads, AI, and endless creativity.
We’re flooding all of the Galverse channels with artistic magic!
If you’re new to inktober, it’s a month-long art challenge in October where participants create and share a daily drawing inspired by a provided prompt list.
You can see some of the amazing artworks that have been created in our community features further down in the newsletter!
A note from Mother, the magic planet at the centre of Galverse:
In the vastness of the Galverse, everyone of us is a unique star, illuminating the dark with our talents. Inktober is not just about drawing, but about expressing, learning, and growing together as a community. So grab that pen, embrace the challenge, and let your creativity flow!
Daily art can be shared with either the #GaltoberPen hashtag for hand-drawn artwork and traditional methods, or #GaltoberGen for AI generated artworks.
Galtober isn’t about competing or winning, just a fun creative challenge for whoever wants to take part. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t prizes for participants…
Muse Frame Giveaway!
The team at Muse Frame have been kind enough to sponsor some amazing prizes for Galtober participants!
Muse Frames are super premium, gallery-quality frames for displaying NFTs and digital art. You'll find them in international renowned galleries like Saatchi and Selfridges.
We’ll be giving away 3 10” Gen 1 frames from the Muse Frame team for each week of Galtober going forward - one black, one silver, and one gold.
With a Muse Frame, you can sign in with your wallet to display your NFT collection with blockchain guaranteed provenance, upload digital art you love for regular display, or stream a curated selection of artworks from Sedition Art Stream.
Post your artwork on the Galtober hashtags above to be eligible, and check the Galverse Discord for more details! Thanks Muse Frame!
WAGMAA! Anime Updates!
Team Galverse is making good progress on the anime! Ayaka has completed a massive sprint on character, world and prop designs which has kicked off the next stage of pre-production.
We’re expecting the first drafts of the storyboard to land with us within the next week and will be sure to share previews when they land.
Gal Holders in the community Discord have a front row seat to behind the scenes materials, with weekly posts and detailed updates from inside the studio and our other partners. They get first look at design previews like Dr Asuka Wagami, pictured above!
Ayaka has been sharing not just her designs, but also concepts that are being passed onto our anime industry experts. We’re happy to announce that Hiromasa Ogura and his studio Ogura Atelier, are joining us again to work on the Galverse anime!
Here’s some concepts of Dr Wagami’s Lab that Ayaka has sent to Ogura, hoping that he’ll bring his signature cyberpunk and gritty touch to the final artworks.

We’ve had an amazing month full of Gal Holder contributions across so many elements of the anime - just check out the Studio Floor list below!
If you’re a Gal Holder or want to get involved, make sure to jump into Discord and help us make anime today! Head to www.discord.gg/Galverse
Tove Lo ‘I like u’ is still flying!
In other great news, the Galverse x Tove Lo music video for ‘I like u’ has passed 340k views. We’ll have some more surprises in store too. Check it out if you haven’t already!
Cosmic Inventory Expands Infinitely!
We’ve made more improvements to the Cosmic Inventory! Check out the video below.
The new Galverse ERC 6551 iframe that appears on OpenSea looks slick, shows NFTs and assets in the Gal’s possession, and also draws data from the Galverse Vending Machine, meaning you can easily see if a Gal has VTuber upgrades or similar.
We’ve got even more ERC 6551 updates coming in the future, which bring your Gal NFT to life as her own character in this wild world of ours!
WAGAMI AI Expands (Vertically)
Our work on Galverse AI models and tools continues to ramp up, and we’ve been running some fun experiments with our community too.
Working with Rei Trace and some of the latest generative tools, we’ve been reimagining select scenes from the Galverse Music Video using generative AI expansion.
It’s interesting to imagine how this tech might impact the future of anime. AI is already a regular part of our community WAGMAA workflow. Ayaka uses it to generate concepts and moodboards to share with other artists in the studio.
How long until studios use generative AI to port their landscape aspect ratio anime from traditional screens to vertical smartphone screens? Things are moving fast!
Vending Machine Tune Up!
The Galverse Vending Machine has gotten a performance tune up. It loads super fast and looks better than ever! Check it out at https://www.galverse.art/shop
VTubers in Stock + 101 Guide Ready!
Speaking of the Galverse Vending Machine - there are plenty of VTuber Upgrades available and ready to go. The factory is in full swing!
If you put in an order, just tag in @Wailoaloa in the #vtuber-workshop channel of Discord and we’ll get right to work on it. Delivery times are well under a week - usually within a day or two - or sometimes faster if you tag us in.
In other great news, we’ve reworked the VTuber 101 Guide as a Discord Forum with helpful instructional videos. There’s an intro to VTubing in general, a quick 5 minute start guide, and in-depth tutorials for iPhone, PC and Android VTubing.
We’ll be building out this guide over the coming weeks to include easy ways to get streaming, gaming, setting up auto subtitles and more!
Gals in the News!
While not explicitly about Gals, this amazing article by Galverse community superstar Benoit Palop for VICE features a lot of our VTubing community - including EdoLena, Sally Danger and Joanne! It’s a must read!
Emi was featured in Spur magazine this month, and she shared a lot about Shinsei Galverse’s creation and our recent work! Check it out - it’s in Japanese, so you might need to plug it into Google Translate.
Gals IRL - Korea, Galleries and more!
Beyond anime and tech, Team Galverse has been super busy with IRL events and galleries around the world!
Ayaka and Emi both sat in on panels at DCENTRAL Tokyo, talking the future of PFPs and the outlook for Japanese artists in the web3 space.
Emi jumped on stage at the G1 Summit to talk about AI, with a shoutout to how the Galverse community collaborates together using these new creative tools!
Ayaka’s 1/1 art was put up for sale (and got snapped up right away) as part of the ONBD x SuperRare curation, 'The Crypto Pawnshop’.
Her piece ‘NOSTALFUTURE PHONE’ draws on her Gal aesthetic. Ayaka says “We get excited by futuristic mechanics and technology that looks like something out of a sci-fi anime. We are thrilled by nostalgic designs that remind us of our childhood and that we miss.”
Emi’s busy month continued with her first exhibition at a museum, opening a new display at the Kanazawa 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art. Congratulations!
Finally, she made it on stage at NFTNow’s Gateway Korea event as part of Korea Blockchain Week, alongside Matt Medved, ThankYouX, and J.N. Silva. Busy!
Gal Collabos! RSTLSS, Zielchain + more!
We’ve also had a great time connecting with other projects over the last month.
Our friends Charli & Ben at RSTLSS have dropped their MareBears digital fashion + pet collection recently, working together with other amazing creators and companies like Gremplin, Paris Hilton and Ubisoft!
We took the time to talk fashion and anime and loved hearing their thoughts on all things Web3. Gal Holders get a mint discount on their latest drop + we have more news on the way!
We also caught up with the great team behind ZielChain, another Japanese project working with legendary artist Yoshitaka Amano.
This Spaces discussion was hosted in Japanese, and we hope to have more news on collaborations with Zielchain soon! Stay tuned!
Finally, we love connecting with communities and superstars across Asia Pacific - a rich creative part of the world that doesn’t always get the most attention in Web3! Thanks for TC and Sushinigami for hosting us as part of their Omakasea show earleir in September! It was a great chat covering the history and future of the project.
Gals in the Verse! Community favorites!
As always, our project is powered up by our amazing community that work so hard to create amazing stuff and share it with the world!
Tanuki kicks us off with a great entry into Day 10 of Inktober - synthwave theme!
This hot springs VTuber diary from SoyJoy is must watch content, in our opinion. What a voice! Wait… voices?!
Not to double up on the amazing Tanuki, but he shared his experience of contributing to WAGMAA! And of course, encouraged you to join Discord to experience it yourself.
Ris is a Tokyo-based rockstar and Gal! Her otherworldly artwork for Day 9 of Inktober is awesome!
One of our favourite VTubers is Moon Cath who made this fun karaoke video on TikTok!
Cath also recreated the infamous ‘Woman yelling at a cat’ meme as part of her Inktober contributions! Who would yell at Porcini?!
CryptoJutsu continues their warpath of posting a Gal a day - over 280 now! Wow!
Maybe inspired by some recent prop-design WAGMAA assignments, Boo dreamed up these Galverse aesthetic mecha makeup tools of the future!
Yu is a busy guy on the Japan Web3 scene, and he’s getting busy taking part in Galtober as well! What a Mecha!
The team are active in the community too! Emi posted this Mecha artwork for Day 8 too!
One of our favorite collector DAOs, Flamingo, shared their wonderful Gal collection!
Thanks for recognizing the hard work, Eri! Memes for a busy team!
Long term Tokyo Gal Acra picked up a new Halo Gal… she just didn’t tell us until now!
Galverse AI researcher and contributor Jarvis put his skills to use on this android!
Do you need to own a Gal to be part of the community? Well… maybe? But we love to hear comments like this from Lenexy who is clearly a superstar!
Skyee also gave us a lovely shout out as part of their ERC 6551 round up! Thanks!
One last artwork - the one and only Sally Danger’s Gal Ji-Eun Selene tapping out an essay!
That’s all for this month! Thanks for reading the official Shinsei Galverse newsletter!
Join us in the Discord, check out the video for ‘I like u’, and follow us on Twitter!
The whole team will be in town for Gal-loween, hanging out, taking meetings and working hard! Be sure to get in touch if you’re around town and want to chat!
